I was born and raised in Beirut where I studied Graphic Design & Fine Arts at the Lebanese American University. In 2005, I joined the Dentsu Network in Dubai as an Art Director and worked on large-scale advertising campaigns, which made me question and investigate the role and responsibility of a designer in regards to consumerism, ethics and the future.
I founded my own studio when I realized that I could use the powerful gift of design to help brands and people evolve in a conscious and more meaningful way. Throughout the years, I created visual experiences and strategic branding for clients such as The Basement, BMW Guggenheim Lab, Philips & Whirlpool, AOL, the Cleveland Museum of Art and Zoé Productions.
In 2010, I moved to New York City for my Masters in Design Entrepreneurship at the School of Visual Arts, where I crafted LFNTV, a televisual app that curates breathtaking short videos into channels tailored to your emotions. I then worked with philanthropist and entrepreneur Don MacKinnon on a social curation platform cataloguing the world of culture. In 2013, we launched Milq, an app and website where the community shares and discovers music, books, art, film, etc. in custom-made channels filled with deep conversations.
In a strange and beautiful way, the crazy pace and noise of the big city helped me find my inner stillness and silence. My yoga and meditation practice was essential for my survival and growth, and I became fascinated by the connections between design and spirituality. After seven incredible years on the island of Manhattan, I moved to Maui where I continue studying, teaching and exploring the journey of design and consciousness. As an artist and yogi, my professional and personal practices complement and fuel one another, giving a whole new meaning to the word Creation.
